Friends of the Santa Maria Railroad

The mission of the Friends of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad (SMVRR) is to preserve, improve, and interpret the historical aspects of the SMVRR. We will provide our members and the public with railroading experience and educational opportunities such as dinner train excursions and open house events. We also preserve and interpret the historical, economic and cultural impact of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad on the Santa Maria Valley and California.

   

Arizona Railway Museum

The Arizona Railway Museum was founded and incorporated in 1983 as a non-profit, educational and historical organization. The Museum is dedicated to the railways of Arizona and the Southwest. The interest and fascination of railways and trains has no boundaries and so railways of all kinds are included in the scope of the Museum.

   

Arizona Rails

Welcome Aboard Arizona Rails! The purpose of this site is to help promote the great hobby of model railroading as well as highlight the real railroad in a fun and informative forum. While the bulk of the site will deal with model railroading it will cover some of the rail fanning that can be done in Arizona

You’ll want to think about joining NARCOA. That’s the North American Railcar Operators Association. They play an active role in providing many needed services for the motorcar hobby.

   

Southern Pacific Historical Society

We are dedicated to preserving and disseminating the historical record of the Southern Pacific Railroad and its affiliates. We support railfanning, industrial archeology and accurate scale modeling of this great pioneer railroad of the western United States.

   

Railswap

This site is for people involved in preservation and use of real railroad equipment. It is for the buying, selling, and trading of equipment, tools, materials, and services to be directly used in rail preservation or operation.
